1. Roomba j7+ iRobot from iRobot.

The Roomba j7+, iRobot’s most intelligent robot to date, is the Roomba J7+. Its most notable advancement, however, is its camera-based obstacle-detection system. It uses AI to detect objects such as charging cords and shoes. It’s the first robot to send you images of objects that it encounters, so you can instruct the robot to avoid it.

While it’s not quite as smart as the Roomba s9+ Auto-Emptying Vacuum, and it’s not able to clean stairs, the J7+ is an excellent option for those who require both a vac and a mop in their home. It’s not too expensive and the iRobot App makes it easy to use.

Although the iRobot Home app is very easy to use however we’ve found it be less reliable than other applications that work with robotic cleaners. It can take some time to download updates and it is sometimes difficult to know whether they’re working until you actually see them in action.

2. Roborock Q5+

If you’re looking for an automated vacuum cleaner that can do more than just clean floors, your most effective option is likely to be a hybrid. These machines are equipped with a water tank, so they can vacuum and mop at the same time. Although it doesn’t come with some of the luxurious features (like no-go zones and multi-story memories) however, it’s an excellent choice when you’re willing to make a few compromises to save a few dollars.

The Q5+ is remarkably soft when it comes to obstacles such as walls and table legs. This makes it an ideal option for homes with a lot of furniture. It’s also very thorough in cleaning dust bunnies, which is an area which many robot vacuums often be a bit sloppy. The technology for navigation in the Q5+ is fantastic and has very few missed corners and along walls.

The Freo X Ultra robot vacuum and mop is a smart well-rounded mop and vacuum. It’s capable of vacuuming and mopping. Its design is among the top in the market however it’s quite expensive.

Its base station looks good and hides it when not in use, and its dimensions are quite small. The station’s most appealing factor is its ability to automate various tasks and functions that most other robots will leave to you. It can store clean and dirty water, electrolyzes and heats the water (which most other robovacs require you to do), empties the dustbin after vacuuming, and helps keep your robot charged and clean.

Its vacuuming capabilities are impressive as well. It’s the only robovac I’ve tested that does a good job picking up dirt from floors that aren’t. It’s also not as loud as the costly Roomba 900 series or iRobot 980.

However, the Freo X Ultra has its flaws, particularly in terms of navigation. Its LiDAR sensors and laser sensors aren’t as reliable as other robovacs. This means that it could get stuck or get confused in certain corners or rooms in the home. It’s not able to climb stairs as well as competitors, either and it doesn’t have an dock that allows you to set up an area for cleaning that is specifically designed for plush carpets.

The Freo X Ultra robot vacuum and mop is an excellent choice for those who need an automated vacuum that can do everything.
