Line-up

The album’s third, Turn Back, marked a return to the classic sextet style of previous albums. It was a more powerful, consistent effort that had an edge that was stronger than Hydra. The edgier sound of Turn Back was a reflection of the growth of the band. Drummer Bobby Kimball’s increased ability to play was evident in the vocals of Joseph Williams, who had grown more confident and mature.
