If you’re after a super-fast, lean single seat buggy with long travel suspension and huge power to weight ratio, then the Barracuda is the perfect model for you. This is the latest model from Edge Products and builds on their 25 years of Mini buggy design & engineering with an aggressive design, the latest CV rear suspension technology & classic Edge toughness. The Mk II takes the Barracuda to a new height with a fabricated hip frame to make construction easier, numerous design improvements and an aluminium high-capacity fuel tank.

The Mk II has a double A-arm front suspension with rod end camber and castor adjustment to increase the traction. It also has a suspension travel of 500mm (20″) to allow for a long suspension travel. It’s been designed to conform with CAMS Prolite and AASA Class 1 Class 10 regulations and has enough driver space for drivers who are 6′ 7″ tall. It also features a stronger rear wheel hub assembly with larger brake discs, and 4-piston Wilwood calipers that capture 312mm floating rotors that provide outstanding brake performance on any terrain.

Like the Mk I, this kit is available as a complete kit and is shipped all over the world. The plans span 230 pages and are based on the most recent CAD models to ensure precision and clarity. Griffon, a newcomer on the resin accessory scene has unveiled a complete set of the exterior and undercarriage for Special Hobby’s 1/48 scale Barracuda. The set is packaged in a the top-opening box of cardboard with a painted image of the Barracuda flying next to aircraft carriers.
