WoW Upgrades – The Item Upgrader
Upgrades give you an increase in certain statistics. Each upgrade increases the level of the item by +3. A random additional substat is also added to each upgrade.
The upgraded gear is usually more valuable, unless it has a low requirement by nature (like FB sorc shields) or a high stat variance (like the eth Titan weapons). The latter are less valuable from upgrading due to the requirement to roll to get a perfect version.
Recycle Points
The item upgrader allows players to upgrade gear to a higher item level by supplying the appropriate currency to the NPC. Upgrades can be applied to any type of weapon or armor. The item used to upgrade the item will be consumed and can’t be used again. Upgrades can also be used to create enchantments.
You can upgrade your gear anytime by visiting the upgrader in any major city. To keep your gear up-to-date it is recommended that you visit the upgrader each few weeks.
The cost of upgrading will vary based on the current level of the item being upgraded, but will always be cheaper than purchasing new equipment from other sources. For instance, upgrading a chest piece from Benthic to ilvl 385 will cost 20 recycle points purchasing a similar piece from another player will costs 105.
Valorstones
Upgrades are items that can be used to upgrade weapons and tools, armor and other items. They can be bought by players through NPCs that sell upgrades to items in exchange for various currencies, and can also be found in random treasure lists. Once an upgrade is purchased it can be used on any weapon or tool with an button, which displays an item’s preview at the next upgrade level if the player has sufficient materials.
Upgrade costs differ based on the item slot, and the current Item Level Upgrade (http://Wiki.Iurium.Cz/) level. For example weapons cost more than gloves, bracers, or bracers. Each upgrade costs 15 Flightstones plus a set number of crests. Certain upgrades provide discounts on Flightstones. Once an item upgrades is upgraded to a certain amount, it can be downgraded and sold to the upgrader at a lower price.
Many locations have upgraders for their items in addition to the main island and a few outposts. The NPCs provide both an upgrade coupon and a chance to obtain a new recipe. The discount on upgrades increases depending on the amount of items that are being upgraded. It can also be increased by requiring players to complete specific achievements or complete quests.
Unlike Cromwell in Baldur’s Gate II is no upgrader for items at the beginning of Icewind Dale. The NPCs that can assist with upgrades are only available through a variety of methods. This is both a positive and a drawback.
In Season 3, many new features were added to the upgrade system. After an upgrade has been completed to a certain item level for an armor slot upgrading other items to the same item level, will cost less. This applies regardless of whether the items are from a different set of gear.
The discount applies to all accounts. The amount of Harbinger Crests needed for upgrades is reduced also, but is only available once certain milestones are reached.
Crests
Players have a variety of options for upgrading their equipment in WoW. Flightstones are a currency that is available to all players for upgrading. Crests are more specific and are used for specific item upgrader mod level upgrades. Crests are an essential part of the Dragonflight gear progression system that was introduced in 10.1 and are available in four ranks.
The first thing to be aware of is that crests are only able to be used to purchase gear of a specific rank, and that each rank has different requirements for its upgrade path. The simplest and simplest upgrade path costs 15 crests, while the more complex one can require as much as 20 crests, based on the type of equipment being upgraded.
Players can earn crests by working through tasks at the appropriate level. This could mean doing outdoor activities or taking on dungeons and raids of all difficulty levels to obtain lower-level gear or Mythicbosses of raids or dungeons with heroic difficulty for endgame gear. The crests can then be exchanged with an upgrader for the item upgrading like Cuzolth or Vaskarn in Valdrakken for the appropriate upgrade steps and routes.
The new currency system isn’t too difficult to use, but it will bring some changes to the upgrade process. For instance, when a piece of equipment reaches the highest level of upgrade for any rank (Explorer, Adventurer, Veteran, Champion, Hero, or Mythic) it will no longer require Flightstones to be upgraded. This change lets players upgrade their equipment to the highest possible ilvl for all their characters rather than relying on seasonal loot.
Another notable change is that crests have one usage therefore it’s essential to use them wisely. For instance, it’s a good idea to use all of your Whelpling-rank crests on the top gear you have available and then keep Drake and Wyrm crests for the next round of upgrades you plan to make. This is particularly applicable to items like rings and trinkets that occupy several slots. The discount for the entire account will only be applicable if all the slots on the character are filled with top-quality equipment.
